When it comes to cooking food I’m fairly certain of a few things in life. I’m certain I won’t get a James Beard Foundation award or even a nomination. I’m sure I won’t earn a Micheline Star let alone a mention in the guide. I’m fairly certain I might not beat Bobby Flay (might not, mind you). However, I AM certain of what cooking will get me in life… a sense of inner peace, accomplishment, adventure, and an amazing creative outlet and hopefully bring some enjoyment to others along the way.

Like Julia Child says, “have a what-the-hell attitude”.

I copied this Gary Larson "Far Side" comic in the first weeks of the Covid 19 Pandemic lock-down. As you can see it holds a personal place in my heart and it still is true to this day and will be for the foreseeable future. ;-)
